Oregon Shakespeare Festival Allen Pavilion

Less than 12 hours after the curtain fell on the last play of the season. We were committed to the fast-track schedule, despite an ever-changing design. Lighting equipment was installed and ready for adjustments a month before opening night. We also sequenced our work activities around the actors' schedules to allow sufficient rehearsal time.

The Allen Pavilion includes several design features not found in the old theater. Improved seating slopes offer better sightlines for the 1,200 patrons. A comprehensive audio and lighting system has increased technical capabilities by 500%. Additionally, entrance passages beneath the audience to the front of the stage allow greater flexibility in choreographing the actors' movements.
